Press Coverage

We've been around so long that virtually every local media outlet, as well as some national ones, have wrtten a feature piece about us. It would be impossible to list the many newspapers we've either been spotlighted or mentioned in.

The biggest, in terms of a national audience, was a column written in the Wall Street Journal about our pumpkins. People magazine immediately followed up on the story by writing a two-page spread in its annual "Amazing Stories" issue. The buzz generated from that piece was quite extraordinary — and something very fortunate for us.

We've been on TV several times, and we've been the beneficiary of several newspaper articles over the past many years. Every time that we're contacted to do a TV interview, or be the subject of a newpaper column, I smile. It means that we're doing something right. The interesting thing about all the press is that it usually leads to someone sending me a letter or e-mail inquiring about seeds.

I wish to use this page to thank all my many friends and acquaintances in the media business for letting the ranch's efforts get the spotlight, year after year.
